It doesn't seem possible, but they say that you will travel 8 miles in your office chair each year. Just moving from the desk to the next cubicle over and back and forth to the printer or even just moving around at your desk - it all adds up. We decided to make Kato do the whole 8 miles at once for Torture Tuesday - but we had to wrap things up early when the PO-LICE showed up and ended our experiment!

We superglued Kato's hands together and then we superglued everything that wasn't bolted down in the studio to Kato! We made him go out and try to find someone to help him get unstuck, but there weren't any takers!

Kato is excited about the Hawk and Tom Prom this weekend, so we decided to make him celebrate the Hawk and Tom Prom old-school!  We had Misty, Tonya and Becky in from The Renaissance Salon and Day Spa and they gave Kato a PERM!!!

Kato has to keep the permed look for the Prom this Saturday night, so be sure to come out and see him at the Hilton for the Hawk and Tom Prom.  Here are the pics!

Chris Sligh and Hawk Harrison have been friends for years. In fact, Chris sang at Hawk's wedding four years ago and he still has a guitar that he borrowed from Hawk over a year ago. He has put that guitar to good use though, writing songs and honing his singing voice so that he could make it to Hollywood on American Idol. Here he is hanging with Hawk and Tom at the B93.7 Studios.   Congratulations to Chris for making it to the Top 10 on American Idol - we were all sad to see him voted off but the good news is that he will be joining us on the show as our American Idol correspondent and giving us the inside scoop each week!

Heidi Aiken is a Vegetarian. She no longer eats meat because of a book she read 20 years ago called "Fit for Life." Hawk and Tom tried to help Heidi become a "normal" person today by putting ground beef on her head and cooking it with an iron into a meat helmet. Unfortunately, the conditioning was too great and Heidi's brainwashing was unbreakable. She nearly became sick because of the tasty smell of the hamburger cooking on her head.

We lied to Kato last week and cheated him out of $100.00 and we pepper sprayed him in the face.  After his friend, "DJ Sam" called in and told Kato what we had done, we had to let him choose a Torture Tuesday for us to do this week as payback.  He made us lick peanut butter off of his feet.  But Tom enjoyed it!  Check out the video below...

We tried out one of those keychain pepper spray cans on Kato for torture Tuesday and it hurt, but it didn't stop him cold.  If you have one for protection, you need to think again.  These things would not stop a determined attacker!  Check out the video below!

Every year we get one of the hardest-to-find Christmas toys and launch it into the sky with helium balloons.  Whoever finds it, gets to keep it!  We've had Playstations land in Easley, Furbies in Greenwood and toys in all points in between.  This year we launched a TMX Elmo and it seemed to be headed towards Pickens or Anderson - watch the video and see if you can tell where it is going to land...

In a classic turn of the tables, a New York teenager learned about a new British invention called the "mosquito tone" and found a way to use it against the very people who invented it.  The mosquito tone is a high pitched frequency that only younger people (and older people with very good hearing) can hear.  A British company was using the tone to keep teenagers from hanging out in public places.  By playing it loudly over speakers, the teens were annoyed by the sound - that adults couldn't even hear - so the teens were forced to leave.

But David Herzka, a Roslyn High School freshman, turned the tables on the scientists when he researched the British phenomenon a few weeks ago on the Web, and managed to upload a version of the high-pitched sound into his cellphone.  Next he loaded the ring tone on his friends' cellphones and a couple of days later, dozens of his friends had uploaded the ringtone.

So how does this help in the war between teenagers and adults?  Since most adults cannot hear the ringtone, teens can use the phones in class and the teachers do not even know they are ringing - at least MOST teachers don't know.  Some younger teachers with good hearing can still hear the sound.  If that happens, you are BUSTED!!!
